"La vie en rose is the ideal representation for me. I have a chronic pain condition, algodystrophy.

The hardest part is not knowing when the next flare-up will be, but despite the persistent pain, daily life remains manageable, sometimes even gentle when you manage to "take it easy," even if rest doesn't change anything; it's just about avoiding doing too much and pushing your sensitive limits.

The most "insidious" part is that the stinging side awakens when you least expect it. The crisis phase makes everything more complicated, the one where you struggle to find the beautiful/pleasant side of life.

But by living through these crises, you learn and you know that the time for improvement will come again, and in the end, you emerge a little stronger. It's a bit like a rose in the end. The outwardly beautiful side that hides the darker moments in the thorns, stinging with illness."
