MARVIN X "YOUNG WILD & FREE"
FREEDOM OF MIND, A BULWARK AGAINST RACISM.
"Born in France, mixed-race with an African father and a French mother, I have always been proud of my native country and my origins. Loyal to my values, but above all open-minded and respectful of my roots.
My struggle? It stems from a simple vision: to be free. Free to think, to choose, to travel, to live by my own rules.
I'm not here to cry, nor to beg for pity.
But I must speak the truth: I've known heavy gazes, discriminatory remarks, closed doors. Some told me I would end up with no future, just because I didn't fit into their boxes.
I was told I wouldn't amount to anything... that I wasn't "legitimate."
I quote: "Black people are made for picking" or "young people are worthless these days."
At one time, I wanted to succeed to prove them wrong.
But I understood one thing: you don't succeed for others. You succeed for yourself."
"Freedom is free will, and choosing means giving up something." Marvin is a person who has made the right choices, freed himself from the opinions of the masses while maintaining his integrity. It's an honor to have you among us.
